Two students with knife-related injuries went to the hospital after an altercation at Hayward High School on August 26th. According to the Hayward Police Department, their officers responded to a stabbing involving three students at the school at approximately 1:22 PM.
Two of the students are 15 years old and the other is 14. Little information has been provided. It is unclear what caused the conflict and the Hayward Unified School District has not released information on the suspect or possible disciplinary action.
The two injured 15-year-olds were released from the hospital on the same day with non-life threatening injuries. No further information on the students’ current medical condition has been released and no arrests were reported.
In response, Hayward High School’s campus has increased Campus Safety Officer (CSO) presence.
